Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data FutGaffer ("we", "us") collects and how we use it — across the futgaffer.com website, the FutGaffer browser extension, and, when they launch, the FutGaffer mobile apps. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we never sell your data, and we don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
What we collect
- Waitlist email. If you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can notify you at launch and apply your waitlist discount.
- Account data. When accounts launch, we store your email address, a securely hashed password, your plan tier, and daily usage counts (to enforce plan limits). We also store product settings you save, such as your hidden-player list.
- Club and challenge data (extension/app). To solve a Squad Building Challenge, the extension reads your club's card list and the open challenge's requirements from the FUT web app session you are already signed into, and sends them to our servers to compute a solution. This data is processed to produce your result and is not retained after the request completes. Reading is passive and read-only — the extension never modifies the web app's traffic and never acts without you.
- Payment data (when subscriptions launch). Payments will be handled by a dedicated payment processor. We never see or store your full card number.
What we don't collect
- No game credentials — we never see your password or login.
- No browsing history — the extension only runs on the FUT web app's pages.
- No advertising identifiers or cross-site trackers. This site uses Cloudflare's privacy-first web analytics to count visits — it is cookieless, doesn't profile you, and doesn't follow you across sites.
- We do not sell or rent personal data to anyone, ever.
How we use data
- To compute SBC solutions from your club (the core of the service).
- To operate accounts, enforce plan limits, and remember your settings.
- To email you about the launch and the service — you can unsubscribe from marketing at any time via the link in every email.
- To protect the service against abuse.
Data obtained through the browser extension is used only to provide the features you actively invoke, consistent with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. It is not used for advertising, sold, or shared for purposes unrelated to solving your SBC.
Who processes it
We share data only with the tooling that runs FutGaffer — the service providers we use for account authentication and data storage, for email delivery, and for hosting the website and solver servers. They process data on our behalf, under our instructions, and only to provide the Service. We may also disclose data if required by law.
Retention & deletion
Club data is not retained after your solve completes. Waitlist and account data are kept until you ask us to delete them or the account is closed. To access or delete your data, email gaffer@futgaffer.com — we'll act on verified requests within 30 days.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), passwords are stored hashed, and server access is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we design for the minimum data held for the minimum time.
Children
FutGaffer is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and its date, and notify account holders by email where appropriate.
